Thanks everyone for sharing! It seems that all of you prefer cloud server with several supporting reasons. For the service models, both PaaS and SaaS were selected— which may depends on the capability and programming skills of the IT officer in the hospital.

When convincing with the executive board, the investment budgets and returns are the main factor for their decision making. You may need to prepare information regarding cost-benefit when presenting to them too.

I agree that scalability is another advantage of cloud service. I really like this option too.

When talking with the executives, money is the main interest. You may need to compare the initial and maintenance cost between physical and cloud servers – the cost should include both direct and indirect cost (for example if you need to hire another IT staff).

Great! Thanks for sharing! The communication is a critical factor to determine successfulness of the project. Many Apps have been developed, but lack of communication may create problems when using is.

LINE application becomes a popular communication channel between hospitals and patients during the COVID 19 outbreak. Data security will be a main issue for using it.

For me, I think telemedicine can only use for some not all conditions. Hospital visits are also needed. I’m kind of afraid that in the future, young generation will mostly prefer telemedicine and feel reluctant to come to hospital or not.

This seems to be a good personal health record App. It’s good that you brought up the problem of interoperability between private hospitals and public sectors.

I agree that Mor Prom is a good App for vaccination program. At the beginning, there were some miscommunication between vaccine supplier, hospitals and vaccination centers, and Mor Prom admin. This created frustration among stakeholders. But overall, I think the App itself is very good.

I think the virtual COVID testing is really cool! One of the successful factor would be the literacy level of the people in the country. And of course, data privacy is the main concern for health IT projects.

Thanks for sharing! I think we face the same situation in Thailand. There are many Apps and systems developed. Each one seems to working well within the system. However, lack of interoperability among system is the main concern; this could cause a large burden to the users.

Yes, telemedicine becomes popular and acceptable by hospitals and patients. If there is no COVID-19 situation, I don’t think that the telemedicine will be as much as acceptable. One challenge for health informatics is that we have that the IT implementation will not compromise patient’s safety.
