Finally, I can watch your presentation!
Your e-health project is exciting. I think it is a useful model for telemedicine in combination with eHealth. If this project work effectively, it will decrease the OPD visits for consultation and for the second opinion, especially for the patients who already had documentation of diagnosis and prior physical examination.
To make a diagnosis for new problems/cases by telemedicine, the history taking is not enough to make a diagnosis without physical examination.
Hi Khun Tullaya… I agreed with you that without physical examination this app. will help in a limited way. I have not thought about the second opinion, you raised, which the patient already has some document given by first treating doctor. It must be very useful in that way as it’s not needed to see a doctor in person. However, the app is commercial and has already been launched. The development is part of Bumrungrad, by a Singaporean business guy. I read an interview given by the hospital’s management that their objectives investing in the project is an alternatives channel to gain more new ‘customer’ at their hospital. I have tried the ap. personally and found that it has not been implemented fully. But like you said the model is interesting. Let’s see how it work in their extension in the future.
