Sorry that I not good at VDO clip but I would like to tell about my eHealth project. I have an idea on Dengue management that can be an eHealth project. As you know that there is no specific antiviral drug for Dengue patient. Doctor has only fluid management as a weapon to combat the Dengue disease. Moreover, there are two main problems that need to address 1) who will be severe Dengue and 2) when fluid leakage will occur. In the real practice, Dengue patients need to be closely observed all the time which will load duty to health care personnel. I am not good at IT but also aware of its usefulness. So I think of eHealth project on Dengue management that can we converse all Dengue patient data to the Application on the smart phone. This will make close observation easier and in the real time fashion. Moreover, I hope that when we analyze all data continuously then we can predict when critical phase (plasma leakage) will occur. This will improve quality of Dengue patient care because the fluid management need to give to patient at the right time and rate.
This is a good idea to brings essential data of monitoring during a critical phase of dengue infection to shows on the mobile application. Importantly, I think we will gain more than monitoring by using this data as a big data to predict the severity of the critical phase and outcome of each patient.
One thing should be caution is, the electronics monitoring report can not replace all clinical monitoring such as physical examination, the information from the system without human touch might not provide enough information to make a decision on further management.
Khun Supawat…Your idea is needed! As I know our Thai physician is well known for the excellent management of dengue fever. The same as Khun Tullaya, the big data will help us get closer to pattern and probability of the disease’s severity. May I ask you both, what is the most critical factor, can be detected at an early stage leading to severe dengue? It may be a pinpoint for the project’s objectives.
