I would like to share the eHealth project called Diamate. It is a mobile application specialized provide to diabetic patients. It can monitor and record your daily blood glucose levels, your meals and its calories. It provides the function to receive a suggestion from dietitians and doctors to better control and prevent diabetic complications.
Thank you for sharing. Monitoring blood glucose levels in diabetic patients is crucial to maintain their health condition. This app can prevent complicated diseases which may occur in uncontrolled diabetes mellitus. Additionally, because the patients can access and track their health data on a real-time basis, it may raise their awareness of lifestyle change and food intake as well.
Thank you for sharing. This is a very good example of an eHealth project that supports patient self-care in diabetes control. I would recommend adding self-care topics for patients that are related to Diabetes Self-Management Education, such as physical activities, diabetic foot care, food diary, topics for smoking and alcohol cessation, etc.
Thank you for sharing.
This application really benefit for patient with diabetics and caregiver. For some patients, controlling their glucose level is very hard. Using the application may raise their awareness about dietary control and lifestyle to maintain their glucose level in the normal range because it will clearly show in the application, this is the one to challenge themselves. To add, elderly user should be monitored by their caregiver to reduce the confusing and misunderstanding about data that recorded in the application.
Thank you for sharing. I kind of love this application, I think it very useful and effective for the patient’s with diabetes even a person who want to prevent or avoid the diabetes complication.
