My surveillance system is Hypertension Surveillance System. Screening for patients with high blood pressure in a particular area can be beneficial both the patients themselves (for self-care and decision for medical care) and for health care organizations (for planning and implementing interventions to reduce the number of patients.
The Hypertension Surveillance System presentation was simple to understand and covered the different phases of the Surveillance System. Case definition, Reporting mechanism, stakeholders, and the evaluation phases are well explained.
Thanks for your nice presentation. I agree with Navin that your presentation covers all important aspects of a surveillance system. I like the idea of automated blood pressure monitoring.
Thank you for your presentation. Hypertension can trigger other grave diseases such as CKD and Diabetes; hence, it is rational to do active surveillance since most people are not aware they’re at risk of hypertension.
While there are no legal implications identified, it may be important to discuss with the patient regarding the data being collected from them, as well as the objectives and desired outcomes of the surveillance system. This will help in rationalizing the “active” surveillance method since the patient may ask certain questions why surveillance are being made.
For dissemination, I agree that social media can be a platform for promotion. There may also be a need to reach other stakeholders such as the elderly who are not well-versed on using smartphones.
Other parts of the presentation were well done. Overall, great work!
Thanks for your presentation. I like the idea that collecting data about the location, GIS, to evaluate their environmental factor. In addition, all levels of stakeholders are included to collaborate to achieve the oblective of this surveillance system.
