Singapore is only half of Bangkok in size (721.5/1,569 km²) and only two thirds in the population (5.6/8.2 million); (sources; Wikipedia), but they are at the top 2 smart cities while BKK is not in top 50; https://www.smartcitygovt.com). Considering the size and its totalitarian governing style, they should think about Metropolitan Network (MAN) to limit access from “outside”, developed only for government administration data. Like London, they have the London MAN infrastructure, to serve their urban customers. The cost may high but a worthy investment for rich single small states like SG.
