Yes, telemedicine becomes popular and acceptable by hospitals and patients. If there is no COVID-19 situation, I don’t think that the telemedicine will be as much as acceptable. One challenge for health informatics is that we have that the IT implementation will not compromise patient’s safety.

Lampang province has very good system in managing COVID-19 cases and vaccination. I guess that the system has been developed within a short period. It would be great if you know what can be done and what cannot be done and how hard it is to be done in programming. This would really help you to manage and prioritize modules in the system.

Date format is always a challenge in database structure and data analysis. Many times, I have seen that the database developer (the programmer) did programming only for getting data input; they did not think beyond whether how the data structure can be used for the analysis or interpretation. Therefore, communication among stakeholders is very…[Read more]

To be exact, public health informatics is the sub-discipline that focus on the population. You may have heard health informatics or clinical informatics which focus on individual health data. But both health or public health informatics would require similar skills and knowledge as you mention.

COVID-19 really helps to accelerate the IT application in healthcare. In a positive way, these applications can be later applied to other diseases as well. Data security is a big issue in health IT project. When there is an incident of data leakage, this would jeopardize people’s trust on the system.

Yes, public health or community health is as important as clinical practice. Good public health management would help cut down number of unnecessary patients in the hospital. Healthcare staff can pay more attention to those who really need help. I’m glad to hear that you want to learn more about IT and management skills. These will certainly h…[Read more]

I think one of important skills for statisticians is database and data management skills. The quality and integrity of your analysis output will largely depend on the quality of data input into the analysis. It would be great if you could be able to involve in the data collection, database setup, or data management processes.

Nice, simple but informative dashboard. I personally like to gold color. However, the bright read color on black background is not good for the eyes. You may try to adjust the tone of red color a bit.

Yes, I also like the buttons to select regions and also the slicers. However the graph of confirmed and death is a bit too crowded and difficult to see (if we do not expand the graph size). The two donut charts look nice. It would be great if you could arrange the color order in the two charts to be the same. This would be helpful if some one want…[Read more]

Nice dashboard! Black background and yellow font is a good match. However, as Naphat’s suggestion, the font color in some graphs may be a bit difficult to read. Another thing is the numbers appear on the right top corner and in the table are arranged without “,” to separate the digits. It may be difficult to read— go back to chunking memory.…[Read more]
