Some possible means an attacker could use to conduct a security attack
– Accessing someone’s system without their permission. For instance, access their PC directly, or quietly remote their PC from another device.
– Pretending to be someone by stealing their key to access the system or the personal information. For instance, guessing their…[Read more] -

I agree with you about the limitation of mHealth, especially for elderlies who can get benefit from this system. Many elderlies who are home-bound or bedridden cannot visit the hospital due to difficulty in transportation. However, my experience with mHealth with elderlies involves working with their family and their caregivers who are younger and…[Read more]

I agree with you about the representative among users. The system design should be user-friendly and the person that we should listen to when designing is the officers who involve in inputting the data. If the system is not designed base on user’s needs, it would be hard for them to work with and it will be abandoned.

I agree with you about legal issues. Although the government postpones the implementation of the Thai Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), we should be the first group to be ready when it is enforced.

I would choose a cloud server rather than a physical server because

In my opinion, transforming health data from manual/paper base to digital data is one of the hardest process, especially for the hospital that has just started. We have to transform large amount of previous stored data and change the system, and that leads to changing the process of how workers do in daily routine.

I agree with you that the patient’s privacy is one of the important concerns. Many apps (especially health data which always include personal information) that collect data must declare how the data is collected or used in order to get consent from the users.

If I am a director of a hospital, I would have a plan to move the hospital’s information system to cloud computing, but the cloud computing system must have maximum security. The reason I would move to cloud computing is that it is easy to access from anywhere, which is mandatory in the current situation. For instance, in an outbreak of COVID-19,…[Read more]

Internet of Things helps in improving health care by collecting data from various sources (e.g. blood pressure monitor, EKG, O2 Saturation in the blood, an accelerometer to detect movement or physical activities, GPS to detect the position that has a high risk of health), and store them in the database. I am always precautious about other’s external storage devices when connecting to my personal computer. Sending files with other methods (e.g. email, messenger apps, Bluetooth) can avoid this virus, but if I suspect that the file is a virus itself, I need to scan it with an antivirus before opening it.

I think it would be very useful for telemedicine in assessing wound severity, and I agree with you that it should be a native app in order to use most of the camera performance. However, in my opinion, there should be a minimal requirement of the hardware that the app needs because the camera resolution might affect the grading of the wound.
