If I implement the high availability technology in my hospital information system, the benefits are
– Higher patient safety, because health care providers can always access vital patient information which leads to better clinical decisions and better health outcome
– Satisfaction from both health care providers and patients. High availability of the data access guarantees the timeliness of service because the patient does not have to wait for the system if it is failed. High availability also satisfies health care providers, because it makes their job much easier -

If High Availability (HA) is implemented in HIS, It will ensure the availability of life-critical clinical systems and EHRs especially in case of emergency without impacting clinical workflows. Clinicians will have continuous access to patient data, allowing them to treat and diagnose patients without interruption.
Also, HA can reduce the impact to patients and hospital staff whenever IT needs to take systems or data offline to perform necessary maintenance tasks and provide protection from unplanned outages caused by human error or hardware failures and reduce the time HIS services are unavailable during your backups.

High Availability technology in a hospital information system will allow clinicians access patients’ data whenever necessary, addressing critical conditions, as well as prescribing medication, ordering and confirming laboratory tests at any time.
In addition, the technology would promote patients’ satisfaction, as it will technically enable the entire process of hospital visit, from reception, consultation, medication, and payment, to be completed in a timely manner.-

I agree with you that high availability can make a hospital visit completed in a timely manner. This also benefits the hospital since the service can be done faster, the more customer or the patient can be treated, leads to more profit.

High Availability technology in hospital information system (HIS) is helpful for patients, including:
1. Get fast and efficient service. Information technology that can be accessed at any time by health workers in hospitals makes the system can be integrated between divisions in the hospital so as to facilitate the coordination process between divisions such as pharmacy, care, payment, etc.
2. Patients get real-time information such as the availability of treatment rooms, doctor’s schedule, patient examination results, etc. -

Hospital and patients will gain many benefits from implementing High Availability Technique.
– Hospital and patients will get benefits from availability of accessing to health data that can provide seamless healthcare services. There will be more accurate data and shorter waiting time that will lead to better quality and satisfaction. Furthermore, High Availability is very vital for emergency situation that cannot be missed just a second of time.
– Hospital will receive benefits in aspect of business. With high availability, hospital can store, access, and use data properly, including clinical data and non-clinical data.

Having a highly available technology will ease the flow of patient information across healthcare professionals. A doctor can instantaneously pull up a patient result freshly generated from the laboratory. Shorter queues and reduced waiting times are some of the few benefits a highly available technology can bring, especially in this time of COVID-19 where everyone avoids long exposure on healthcare facilities. Seamless transfer of information from one device to another foster collaboration among healthcare professionals to ensure that the best possible care is given to the patient.

In my view, the implementation of high availability technology in the hospital information system( HIS) will benefit a lot in the delivery of the hospital service in an efficient manner by mitigating IT disturbances, decreasing or omitting downtime. This leads to the better performance of the hospital, patients will have better health outcomes and staffs work will be easier.

High Availability minimised the impact of IT disruption for the healthcare workflow in the hospital thus it is very beneficial to have HA system implemented. It enables a more timely and appropriate medication for patients because the clinicians can access the data easily and with minimal interruption. This leads to improved satisfaction from the patients of the hospital services.

Implementing the High Availablity technology in the hospital information system (HIS) would provide benefits in many ways. It will provide instant data availability, therefore no missing data during the process, and every department can monitor and link data on a real-time basis. It can also lower medication errors and prevent duplicated orders/therapy that help for patient safety. With the well-organized system, it will also reduce waiting time and workload for workers, provide better performance.

There are many benefits to adopting the high availability technology into the hospital information system. Patient’s safety reason because the availability of data and information (laboratory report, imaging report, previous illness, or history of health condition) is essential for life-saving, especially during the critical period. Furthermore, availability is crucial for the seamless flow management of hospital services.

From my point of view, the implementation on High Availability technology assures that the patient received the appropriate treatment based on medical record because of the available of the most recent information. It also helps the health care providers make their decision easier if they are able to access to the crucial information in the emergency.
