2021-08-02 at 7:59 pm #29218Arwin Jerome Manalo OndaParticipant
My name is Arwin Jerome M. Onda. You can call me Arwin for short.
I am from the Philippines. I am a pharmacist by profession. I have 4 siblings and I am the youngest. I am the only one in thefamily who has a health background – my father and 2 brothers are engineers, and my mother and sister are entrepreneurs. On my free time I read or watch technology-related content, browse through social media, and play mobile games.
I started my career as a health researcher under the Health Technology Assessment (HTA) Unit of the Philippine Department of Health. The HTA is a mechanism for the government to select interventions that should be funded or reimbursed by the government. Together with experts in digital and mobile health technologies, we established the first ever topic nomination forms and prioritization criteria for these types of technology.
I am very much keen to learn on the dimensions of information technology as integral components of the healthcare system. I am eager to learn about machine learning and data visualization techniques. I look forward into applying the theories into practice. I am also excited to communicate and create meaningful connections with other professionals who share the same aspirations as I do. Wishing for meaningful years to come, 2021 MSc BHI classmates.

Good day, everyone (´ ∀ ` *)
Pleased to meet you all. As you may know, my name is Pisit Saiwangjit and I am 25-year-old pharmacy graduate from Northern Thailand. This year, I recently obtained my bachelor’s degree in pharmaceutical care and about to get the license to practice pharmacy. I was involved in statistical analysis in the research project a year before my graduation, which worked on model development and internal validation for binary outcome.
During my internship in certain hospital, there was an implementation of information technology in their setting that sparked my great enthusiasm on this particular area. I also interested in high-dimensional data because, based on my own experiences, the real-world data tends to be hierarchy data.
HAPPY SATURDAY !!
