We need to create the good working culture that people accept to rules regarding corruption, which I agreed that it is gray area.

I am hoping that good people can be as resilient as they can and stick to moral among badies and bad systems.

I find teaching moral to new generation can be quite challenging. And now with everything virtually, it is an increasing challenge. We need to keep closing the generation gap which seems to be wider and wider with technology and social media.

In some countries, when corruption has been found or even suspected, the persons involved would often resign to show their spirit. We heard many stories in Europe and Japan. I think this is a good act and it is kind of civilized culture.

Good point. In the universities nowadays we are creating the culture of not accepting any gift, some still but with anything below THB3000. It is great! Probably the same thing should be used in the healthcare system.

Financial support on UC is problem in many countries because it is a large amount of government budget and as you said more and more when we go into aging society. I think we need to think in the long term how we can maintain this. Most countries pay UC from income taxes. Surprisingly, rich country like the US don’t do UC!?!

We would never say H0 is true or false. We say from the study and sampled data, there is or isn’t sufficient evidence to suggest that Ho is true and thus we accept or reject H0.

It is quite complicated and you can not just make a decision to accept or reject H0 based on just the confidence intervals. The test statistics will have to be calculated. This is all based on the normal distribution as well.

Similarly to Tullaya’s choice, in an event it is either 0 or 100% that the intervals contain the true value. 95% refers to how often this happened when sampling from many studies i.e. 95 out of 100 times.

Good point. In one single event, it can only be true (0% error) or false (100% error). Type 1 Type 2 error refer to the frequency of making wrong decision over many times of testing. Type 1 error of 5% means over 100 times of rejections, 5 times you may be wrong.

Agreed. People must have the basic needs like housing, food, money before they can be motivated to do things for others.
