Wachirawit Supasa replied to the topic Week 1 Topic 3 Before planning for a surveillance system in the forum TMHG528 Disease Surveillance and Public Health Investigation 2020 4 years ago
In my opinion, I think Thailand should have a Rabies surveillance system. Rabies is lethal and rapidly progressive, symptoms will eventually be shown between 1 week to 1 year after initial infection and in the window period, it was hard to impossible to diagnose disease. Currently, we have relied on reports from hospitals with diagnosed patients…[Read more]

It is true to the current Thailand Education System. The teacher and student primary focus too much on exam and score but they often dismiss the true point of learning, the knowledge. I think listening skill is very hard to compare to another skill like speaking, writing, or reading because each time we listen we have to deal with our ego itself. We have to look beyond the personality of the person to the essence of the message they want to give to us. In short, listening can resolve conflicts between people.

I would require the Internation Review Board approval prior to sending them any data because, at national level, there is a lot of sensitive information about each individual. IRB could screen, dispute, and argue if any information they require not necessary for the research purpose.
