Hi all.
I would like to share an interesting eHealth project that I use which is Health App from Apple. It is an application installed in wearable and mobile devices (iPhone, Apple watch) that can help to track, monitor, and organize your vital health data. Let me know if you also use this kind of devices and let’s have discussion below. Thank you. -

Thank you for your comprehensive presentation on the Apple Health App.
I totally agree that the system will raise customers’ awareness of their own health, facilitate communication with health professionals, promote the use of health information, thereby achieving improved customers’ health.
Bio-sensing technology is one of the core components of the system, such as the detection of arrhythmia through Apple Watch. Apple Computer recently published an article titled “Estimating Respiratory Rate From Breath Audio Obtained Through Wearable Microphones (*1)” (said to be AirPods). With the development of wearable devices equipped with more advanced bio-sensing technology, the use of the system will undoubtedly become more important in peoples’ lives.

I have this Health app on my phone and it is simple and very easy to use. However, it is not my go-to application for Wellness.
The introduction of Apple Watch revolutionized the digital health industry because of the innovative features the Apple Watch – which syncs beautifully into the Apple Health app. However, to fully utilize the Apple Health app, it is best to use an Apple Watch. The watch is the data collection device that feeds into the Health app. This, however, comes with high cost since as well all know, Apple products are expensive and may not be affordable to everyone. The Apple Health app is ecosystem-centric, meaning it is not available to Android users. Further, some key features are only available if you use an Apple Watch, which I don’t. While there are truly remarkable strengths offered by Apple, it can lead to inequitable and costly measures to fully leverage on those strengths.

Thank you for sharing.
Apple health app is very useful in our daily life. When it comes to customer satisfaction and outcomes, software updating intermittently can improve the stability and reliability of the app to support the customer needs and use to improve health outcome gradually. -

Thank you Taro, Arwin, and Ashara for participating in the discussion.
Taro, thanks for the information! I think this adds the value of using mobile and wearable devices, the data could be used for research that hopefully lead to the improvement of public health.
Yes, in terms of cost, Apple’s devices are actually expensive and you are most likely will be using other Apple’s devices because of the ecosystem. Thankfully there are many alternative brands and apps that can do similar things, so we as customers can choose which app is reliable and can fit our needs and budget. Whatever devices and apps we may choose hopefully can help us in reaching a healthier life.
