My routine work is teaching medical students in various aspects, but in the ambulatory medicine field, we emphasized on the quality of care for non-communicable diseases, prevent the preventable diseases, prevent unnecessary admission, and how to treat patients as an out-patient as long as possible.
Nowadays, my routine work is not really related to informatics. I’m just an end-user. However, I think there is a lot of opportunities that informatics can help clinicians in improving the health care quality, health care delivery and also for doing the research, in which appropriate electronics medical records can make it easier.
My expectations in this course are to understanding the general principles of informatics, the impacts of informatics for improving health care and also the limitations.
