Hello
I am presenting “Chronic Kidney Disease Surveillance System” aimed to collect data from individuals with increased risk of renal disease, in order to provide early detection and early intervention that would help prevent cardiovascular death and progressed risk kidney failure.
Please feel free to share any suggestions!!

Nice presentation, very interesting and informative. CKD is an important disease that sometimes get ignored. I like your hand-drawing data work flow! However, if the system only detect cases from passive surveillance, you may miss people with early stage CKD which sometimes cannot be detected if the annual check-up is not performed. Well done!

Thank you for your suggestion. I agree that missed cases would happen, therefore, active surveillance should also be considered.

Thank you for your comprehensive presentation. Early detection of CKD is very crucial to prevent the progression and severity of the disease. When focusing on laboratory result as a suspected case, annual health check up program should be promoted to early detect of the disease and can be collected as a data to make the surveillance system have more coverage.

Thank you for your presentation. I agree with you about the importance of screening and surveillance for chronic kidney disease (CKD) since it is often missed and may present with late-stage if not early detected. Detecting the early stage of kidney disease can help both the patients to beware of their current underlying disease condition, and help the policymaker in preventing NCDs that are the major causes of CKD (hypertension and diabetes).

Thank you for sharing interesting project.
CKD, from my experience of taking care of patients, is very burden disease than can significantly worsen quality of life.
The surveillance will be very useful in early detection and management for patient who have early stage of CKD that will be very benefits in slower progression of the disease.
To apply health data standard, such as HL7 and SNOMED-CT, will be very helpful in transferring data from EMR to the system according to the data flow presented. -

Thank you for sharing. This surveillance is a very interesting project. As a vascular surgeon, I usually face an ESRD patient who had to start hemodialysis with a catheter-based approach, which is not the appropriate strategy. This surveillance system could change the strategic plan to a fistula-first policy by early detection and proper management in CKD patients.
