We cannot conclude that the treatment is ineffective simply because most of the studies fail to reach statistical significance. Some studies have their own limitations, such as small sample sizes, so the results of individual studies should not be overestimated. Moreover, when the p-values are mathematically combined using Fisher’s method, the overall combined p-value becomes statistically significant. -
Hello, my name is Natchanan Panjasiri. I already hold a DDS degree and I’m currently studying in the orthodontic residency program at Mahidol University. My research focuses on testing the mechanical properties of NiTi springs. I’m interested in applying statistics to my research during my studies, and in the future, when I return to work at the hospital, I also plan to continue doing research. I think starting early with the help of this course would be really beneficial for me. I’ve learned SPSS once during my undergraduate studies.
