The second paper is really fascinating to me. Using CO2 (RAV) and GIS location to predict the tuberculosis transmission area is a novel method. The statistical method in this paper is simple and easy to understand. The authors also provide GIS maps using satellite images as a background with multiple layers. We can use this research idea for…[Read more]

Both selected papers are about tuberculosis which is also a major concern disease in Thailand. In terms of quality, I think that the second one, Spatiotemporal analysis of drug-resistant TB patients registered in selected districts of Karnataka, South India: a cross-sectional study, is better. Not only it uses timelier data to analyze and provide…[Read more]

The first paper,Geographical distribution of at fault drivers involved in fatal traffic collisions in Tehran, Iran, is more interesting to me. The authors use recent data and compare it with different time series. It also provides many GIS maps that can be used as an example for us to study. In addition, its impact, to lower the RTI, is clearly…[Read more]

chanapong replied to the topic How to delete the wrong column in attribute table? in the forum Week 2 QGIS 4 years, 7 months ago
Hi, Khun Tullaya. You can use the function “delete field” which is at toolbars. When you click on this function. there’s a pop-up table shows all the column names (field) which you can select the column you want to delete.
Hope this helps. -

Is it important to understand all the statistical methods used in the selected journal? I found that they are different from other journals and difficult to fully understand.

Hi, I think this CRF could be easier to use if we improve some aspects.
– The format of the date should be DD/MMM/YYYY
– The boxes for filled-in data may be provided for the PI to easily enter the data, such as in the age.
– There should have a checkbox in some parts like yes or no question, male or female and positive or negative.
– Weight and…[Read more] -

Having data standards for clinical research makes great benefits to researchers. It makes not only the format of data that can be thoroughly and globally apprehended for all people but also mutual benefits on data sharing for further analysis and researches. We can use the existed database easily to do more interesting researches if we use these…[Read more]

I had little experience in conducting a study. I used paper-based CRF and then manually input the data to MS excel using single data entry. Therefore, the audit trail cannot be done, unlike MS access. I didn’t implement authentication and access control levels in the study process because of a few study members. Edit and logical checking were done…[Read more]

Based on my latest experience in data collection, I almost do all of the data management workflows except database setup and data quality control. Due to an unsuitable plan on database setup, we have an important issue about data inaccuracy. Furthermore, we have a team consisting of two people to do a single data entry process with a manual review…[Read more]

My experience in data collection was in a community medicine class. The purpose of data collection is public health surveillance. We used the primary data collection method by using a paper-based and self-administered questionnaire. The language barrier, especially in elderly volunteers was one of our obstacles. Missing data was another problem…[Read more]

I think there is not enough health informatics workforce in Thailand. I have known no more than ten Thai doctors who are also health informaticians. Due to the current era of big data and technology, we should have more workforce in this field, especially health informatics. In Thailand, UHC covering more than 99% of the population is regulated by public organizations. Before UHC implementation, people seldom receive the treatment in the public hospital according to high health expenses. Therefore, health in the…[Read more]
