Auswin Rojanasumapong replied to the topic Why is dashboard for data visualization important for healthcare? in the forum Week 2: Fundamental of System Development and Tools 3 years, 4 months ago
The dashboard for data visualization is important for healthcare because communicating with the general population about the current health situation needs to be done with the latest data, easy access, and easy to understand. For instance, the COVID-19 situation (such as the area of the new cluster, the nearest available hospital) must be reported…[Read more]

I would like to build an app for patients to access their health profiles. The data must be updated and can be accessed from their device to use as a document to prove that they have been vaccinated or they are healthy to perform a certain task (with proper consent from the individual). My experience with this issue is that many patients do not…[Read more]

Since I have no experience in programming, I would like to start programming with Python since it is widely used in data science. I used to learn the basics of Python in programming with a simple command in managing data and I find it easy to understand and to start learning. I have a little experience with C++ while playing with Arduino (I am…[Read more]

I agree with you about the limitation of internet access in some areas. For example, recording activities that the family doctor teams visit the patient’s house is sometimes a struggle if the phone signal is weak. We cannot check-in (to the home visit database online) or update the patient’s status in real-time.

I agree with you about Metropolitan Area Network is less popular. I think WAN is much preferred because it is more flexible.

Auswin Rojanasumapong replied to the topic What system do you think? in the forum Week 1: Information System and Technology 3 years, 4 months ago
I agree with you that there must be a standard protocol or a common system for data collection in order to connect, transfer and share data. One of the benefits of the standard protocol is that you can share data for research purposes.

I also have experience with managing vaccine reservations, too. The difference is, for my setting, the process is just putting the name on the list and the output is the queue number. Because there are many ways to input the data (websites, call centers, and face-to-face reservations) the process must be real-time to avoid conflict when the…[Read more]

In my opinion, there are many health data systems implemented in different health care providers, so there are gaps between places and systems for the data to be connected and transferred. This is due to the limitation of software compatibility and internet connection from certain areas (eg. rural areas with limited cellular signal). For example,…[Read more]

Internet helps in improving the quality of health care in my area, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic situation. For example, I use the internet to:
1. Expand health care coverage. The patient can access health care easier without traveling to the hospital to cope with minor complaints or counseling, such as minor ailments, virtual home…[Read more] -

To collect blood pressure data in certain areas from wearable blood pressure devices, first, we need PAN (personal area network) to connect the wearable devices to the device that can transfer the data such as mobile phones or personal computers that can connect to the wider network (for example, paring blood pressure monitor with smartphones via…[Read more]

I am familiar with TPS since it is very common and easy to find in daily life. For example, online shopping, internet banking, movie ticket booking that process in real-time.
For MIS, my old workplace (a university) has an MIS website provided for employees to organize many tasks related to working and living.
I have no experience with DSS.

I tried to find the answer and I found out that you can import raster images from Google Earth (Google Earth Pro app for desktop is needed), add reference layer, and use function “Raster” -> “Georeferencer…”.
It’s a bit tricky but doable.
here is an information

Maybe the name is different, but the intention of this layer is to locate the village, which the file “Malaria_Village_incidence.shp” can be use.

Your dashboard looks nice with sufficient information to understand the COVID-19 statistics, You also use a good color to emphasize the number of the case, and provide a slicer to select timeframe. Overall your dashboard is easy to understand.
