I work at Bueng Kan Hospital in the deputy director position. In the interesting of my work is about the surveillance system of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) as in the other position, head of infection control. I use statistical analysis in my previous study about descriptive study of AMR microbes epidemiology in the hospital. The other study is a historical control study about intervention (thrombolytic) in acute myocardial infarction patients.

I’m currently working for an INGO HIV project. My work mostly consists of reporting and data analysis. And occasionally I do some data analysis for the research project. But most of the time, I do data cleaning part – not really the statistical part. Anyway, I have some experiences of learning statistics in both SPSS and R softwares. And whenever an opportunity comes, I try to apply these statistical knowledge at my workplace. And from this course, I hope I gather and learn more knowledge relating to statistics and also apply this into my thesis project .

I’m a veterinarian at the veterinary research and development center (lower southern region) under the Department of Livestock Development (DLD), Thailand. My job has responsibilities about using laboratory technique for animal disease diagnosis which necessary to apply statistic and epidemiology for my routine work and research projects. I learned the biostatistic course when I was a veterinary student and have some experience for using statistical technique such as in my final project of the Bachelors Degree. Now my routine work mostly perform the descriptive statistic, the inferential statistic is particularly used for the research project.

I work as a monitoring and evaluation officer at a DR-TB project. My day to day work relates a lot to data: collecting, data quality assurance and reporting, but not so much of analysis and statistics.
I have learned about basic biostatistics in my undergraduate program, and I’m willing to learn more from this course. -

I am a Public Health Technical officer at the Division of Vector Borne Diseases (DVD). I take responsibility for the vector surveillance and vector control program in Thailand, especially in Dengue and other Aedes-borne diseases. Mostly, my job is usually about surveillance data so data cleaning, data preparation, and applied statistics have been used frequctly.
One of the most stat I have used is Probit analysis in SPSS software. I used this to calculate the quality of Public health sprayers by sizing their droplet size.

My background is the Medical technologist and have experienced in the field of Medical laboratory, Medical research laboratory and Laboratory Quality Management System which required and used a basic statistics knowledge and skill.
I’ve been applied the statistics to my work in designing and collecting the data but mostly were the basic level such as mean, median, SD, CV. After collecting the data, we will have the statistician to analyze the data.

My background was the epidemiologist trainee. So, every assignment in the course always use statistics. From descriptive statistics like counting, frequency, central tendencies measurement to inferential like survey, sample and population, estimation or hypothesis testing. We also enrolled in the basic stat courses and advance courses depends on demand for each trainee.
