Hi my name is Farkhan, and I am Indonesian. I had graduated from Public Health Faculty at the Diponegoro University Semarang. Now I am working in Ministry of Health, especially within the Health Quarantine Unit.
During the dramatic Covid-19, my institution has developed several information technology aimed to control the disease, but the most common platform was an online application to track and monitor population health against Covid-19. The system named PeduliLindungi (in English called Care and Protect, which was developed by Digital Transformation Office of Indonesia Ministry of Health.
I have great hopes to expand my horizon in the area of epidemiological analysis and informatics, and I think that that is my rationale why did I apply to the M.Sc in BHI. -

Hello, my name is Dr. Zarni Lynn Kyaw; every one can call me Zarni. I am a medical doctor by training, and I’ve been in the public health field since 2015. My team and I are working in the field of implementation research and health financing in Myanmar. We started strategic purchasing projects on eastern border of Myanmar. You can learn more about those project here.
We are in the scaling-up phase of that project, but we are faced with efficiency issues where we can’t rely on paper-based methods anymore. We want to leverage IT technologies to be more efficient, at the same time, implement ethical strategies as we are working mainly with conflict-affected ethnic populations in Myanmar.
I hope to learn from each and everyone of you and looking forward to having fun together.
