ParticipantIn this video, I share my experience with an eHealth project in Thailand, where the national health wallet application enables people to manage health in their hands. I’ll describe how the apps help people access health screening program at the local health service.
This eHealth covers:
Health in our hands: People can directly manage appointments and access health services via their devices.
Interacting for health: Connects people with healthcare services and national screening programs in real time. Health professionals can communicate more easily by accessing patient’s health records from different sites.
Data enabling health: Health records can be linked to national database via ID/biometrics
Data can be used to support screening programs and health system plan. This project improves the health practice in terms of:
Efficiency & Cost: Reduce administrative tasks and errors, decreasing hidden costs.
Customer satisfaction: Provide easy booking, fast service flow.
Improved outcomes: Higher uptake of HPV screening and early detection of cervical cancer. Data can be used in health professionals communication and national policies. -

ParticipantThanks for your great presentation! I like the way you presented your eHealth project by using your own experience as an example from the customer’s point of view in receiving health services. It clearly highlighted both the cost and customer satisfaction.
In addition to the points you mentioned for improving current health practices, I think we can add reducing the cost of awareness programs and reaching more people, particularly in remote areas, to raise awareness. At the same time, customers would be able to receive timely updates about health care (such as HPV screening and awareness). However, continuous awareness programs about this app will be required to reach a larger community so that no one is left behind, regardless of risk group, geography, or socio-economic status.
Furthermore, this approach would also help provide essential data and indicators for national HPV incidence, as well as a roadmap for national policy implementation.-

ParticipantThank you for your comments :). I agree with your point about making the app accessible to all communities. In reality, some people are not aware that these options are available on the app. In my opinion, this tool is especially useful in big cities like Bangkok, where there are multiple health benefit schemes and various health centers, and people are generally efficient at incorporating technology into daily life. However, in some areas, people may struggle with both physical access to health services and technological accessibility.

ParticipantYeah, I get your point. That’s why I’d like to emphasize access to health care, where considering health equity in planning, designing, and implementation is essential to minimize the gaps between rural and urban areas. I believe even developed countries are still facing these kinds of inequalities, and it will take time to fully address them.

ParticipantThank you for sharing, that is a very interesting application. By using the app, I think people will become more aware and informed about the various health services they can avail for free. Since the app offers access to various preventive care services, it might also help in reducing health care costs in the long term through early detection and lowering risk of serious diseases.

KeymasterThanks Salin for sharing this interesting eHealth App. I like your introduction, very interesting and attractive for audience that would like to learn more about your talk. The audio-visual was great. The main contents were fully covered in your talk. One thing is that your presentation is about 2 minutes over the provided time, Please be careful especially when presenting in the conference. Timing is also very important.
