Hi Everyone!
My presentation is about Cholera Surveillance. Cholera is a highly transmissible disease and poor hygiene and sanitation, with the limited health facility, could lead to high mortality in the community. With proper surveillance, real-time data are obtained which helps to detect the outbreaks, monitor the disease trends, and aid in the prevention and control of the disease.
I would appreciate your comments and suggestions.
Thank you very much for the presentation.
It is very important to establish a Cholera surveillance system in risk countries, because it is highly contagious and can lead to death if left untreated.
The inclusion of an environmental-based survey to detect V. cholerae in water sources would be useful for early detection and identification of the source of infection.
Hi Navin! Thank you for your presentation.
Cholera has been one of the recurring outbreaks in different parts of the world, but more prominent in countries with poor sanitation and hygiene. Perhaps alongside with your surveillance system, massive promotional campaigns (virtual, face-to-face/onsite) can be done, and would greatly contribute to the success of your project. A little more elaboration on the roles and responsibilities of the identified stakeholders would be helpful to better understand your surveillance system.
Other than that, good work!
