Hello Wannisa, it is a good plan to have a pen and paper near you to improve your skills “recalling details”. Additionally, I suggest that you should also ask the speaker to clarify if it is the statistics they requested. I understand if the speaker is a senior, you would be afraid to ask her to repeat again. But clarifying is a great tool as it could potentially save you from doing unnecessary work and having to fix the mistaken work.
