HFM disease is a mild, highly contagious disease in children and infants. This disease often causes a temporary school or day-care closed. Some patients have not been reported to a disease surveillance report due to self-limited disease. Health organizations must implement a well-defined disease surveillance system to prevent the wide spread of disease in a community.
