Topic for Seminar 9 is “Electronic Medical Records in Myanmar: User Perceptions at Marie Stopes International Clinics in Myanmar”
Discussion topics are as follow.
1. How can we convince to those with low digital literacy skills to use electronic recording and reporting system?
2. What are needed to sustain EMR system in the organization?
1. As discussed during seminar, for those refusing to use the system, encouraging by force or policy is initially required in my opinion. After that, we can change methods according to their response.
2. Continuous support for IT solutions and HR are needed to sustain the system. Listening and responding to the users’ feedback activity is also a key.
Thank you for your presentation.
1. To convince people to use EMR, I think the 1st one is that the policy from the leadership, and should have the team to monitor to measure and evaluate the status and the gaps for continuing improvement.
2. To sustain the EMR system, I think we should consider about budget, training, support and human resource.
For convince those with low digital literacy skills to use electronic recording and reporting system, I think each organization should start with assessment them about the attitude, knowledge, and practice of digital skills. Sometime I found that low skills isn’t just the results of lack of knowledge or practices, it include not quite good attitude or mindset of people. The results from the assessment may help you to plan for training or implement course to improve their skills.
