Watch your friend’s presentation and provide comments on “How could this project improve the current health practice? Think about value of the project in terms of cost, customer satisfaction, Improve outcomes.”

Great project Chalermphon, the active TB screening application is looking nice to detect the new cases of TB and track them along the way. This will improve current health practice in terms of active case finding and early diagnosis and treatment. It will improve overall health outcomes as we can early identify index and contact cases to limit the spread of TB.

This is one of a good project if it is work, people can use this application to observe themself. If they are at a risk, they can go to a hospital or clinic to make sure. In addition, it will be better if the application has some knowledge about the general symptom of TB, how to protect themselves from TB, or even TB treatment.

Hi Khun Chalermphon….After watching your video, I’m thinking about merging your project with TB referral system by Khun Thongchai. Good health care may be inaccessible to the rural area both in Thailand and our neighbouring country. What if your system is enhanced or equipped with media options, EMR, and give this app. to trained public health officer to go in the rural areas. The PH officer will find out the new case with help from your consultation system under the supervision of TB specialist at central/teaching hospital. When new cases are detected they can be referred to any hospital where there are more types of equipment and specialists and then back to their PCU/local hospitals in the rural for long term treatment plan and monitoring. The supervising will go on with app., collaborated by specialist and PH officers, to make sure the treatment has been managed effectively especially medications. I think this will help reduce numbers of TB patient coming into central hospital and finding a new case will be more proactive. For somehow, this may help reduce the spreading of drugs resistance TB in the hospital or in communities and overall non-medical cost in healthcare. Simply put, TB patient should come to the hospital only when an advanced medical investigation is needed, consulting with DR. will be through the app.

This’s a great and useful project for the surveillance system. As I know that Thailand is one of the fourteen countries that had three high burdens of TB. If this project is successful, It will help decrease TB patient and spreading of disease. This project can be possible to improve the current health practice in Thailand context.
Just a little suggestion, for the next phase of this project. You may adopt ML (Machine learning) technology to map data that you get form the user with the model and then predict data. This can help to get the more accurate result.

This eHealth project is benefit for the patient for their cost through self screening, and increase the active case to get the treatment. The patient also get the satisfaction for the privacy and confidentility as they can reduce the stigma that is one of the problem of TB management. I agree with Mvidhayagorn that you could integrate your eHealth project with Khun Chalermpol as bigger project as I think that early screening will improve the outcome if you can follow up the patient.
