What do you think about this finding? Have you ever heard any complaints from health officers (or yourself) about using EMR? Any suggestions to avoid or reduce this problem?
This finding provided some interesting insight into the physician’s burnout from EMR. I have also experienced problems working with the EMR but do not think it will cause burnout (I hope not!). In case of a technical problem, reliance on EMR can cripple a healthcare setting. If the system malfunctions, it can limit the healthcare provider’s ability to provide the best care. If the malfunction lasts a few hours, it can lead to delays and errors. To mitigate the problem, risk management system should be applied as a routine and always prepare for the exit plan.
