We actually apply the WHO’s Early Warning, Alert and Response System (EWARS) which is designed to improve disease outbreak detection in emergency settings in our projects, especially for the project areas. This is interesting as you mentioned whether we could apply it in our country for the timely response to disease outbreaks and any emergency responses. My consideration is if it would make the response directly from the population from any area, at least by the Basic Health Staff (BHS) from the rural health centers through mobile devices would be very beneficial in reducing some surveillance officers from the upper level to organizing the data. I think this can also improve the timely response to better outcomes.
