
In my healthcare organization, we utilized the Clinical Decision Support System (CDSS) platform to address medication prescription errors, especially when doctors were unaware of patients’ allergies while prescribing medication. I believe this CDSS was integrated into our hospital platform, similar to Hosxp. The system proved to be highly beneficial in various ways, including prompting us to advise patients on their annual physical examinations; a notification would appear when we accessed a patient’s record. While it was incredibly helpful, it could be somewhat overwhelming due to the frequent notifications. In my opinion, the successful implementation of this CDSS was influenced by several factors. It was crucial to have a team of skilled healthcare professionals who thoroughly understood the system’s capabilities. Regular training sessions and workshops were conducted to ensure that our doctors and nurses could effectively utilize the CDSS in their daily practices.
