Dear Ajarn, it took a while to post this week discussion although I read and learned colleagues’ comment for your topic because it was a bit challenging to pinpoint a specific application in Myanmar during the COVID-19 pandemic. Although there were some efforts to implement a useful application by the government, I haven’t come across any outstanding applications that were widely used by the community, aside from certain platforms that provided information about high-risk locations and areas potentially contaminated by COVID-19.
So, I think Ko Soe Htike only mentioned the DHIS2 platform (which can be regarded rather as IT project than a mobile application) which is used only by government and possibly some NGO partners, and surely cannot be accessed by the community. So, I have to browse to see if there were any other applications that played a significant role during that time. However, I acknowledge that I might not have the complete picture, and I hope that other friends from Myanmar can share their insights here.
