Since my medical technology background and having worked in data management positions for different organizations mainly in the public health areas for years, I have gained some experience in public health practices, data management undertaking, and facilitating the projects’ evaluation. There was room to improve a lot where I am aiming to enhance my proficiencies mainly in developing information system design and implementation focusing on computational and mathematical science through a combination of information technology and statistical analysis.
As my friend “Phyo” mentioned, I am also specifically interested in Interoperability and Health Information Exchange (HIE) which can be crucial to overcoming the challenges of combining the different kinds of data from various sources where much beneficial to know how we can define health data standards and integration. As Health Informatics is concerned with information and people, learning about the social sciences is essential, especially since I am interested in change management as a means of improving my profession. In this program, developing these skills could help me set up a proficient information system on both smaller and larger scales and foster evidence-based advocacy at the national level.
