Being a medical doctor and having several years of experience in the public health area, I would like to improve myself in the areas of managing big databases, reporting, and analysis tools including using statistical software efficiently so that after the program, I will deliver my knowledge and abilities instantly in public health programs. There are other domains I am required to keep abreast of, especially in non-medical subjects such as political science and law, protecting privacy and confidentiality of patient information, etc.
I have a particular interest in data interoperability between databases of different health facilities, organizations, and even different health departments of the same health facility. I am keen to upgrade my knowledge of how data can be merged, stored, and analyzed among several data-collecting platforms.
