
Since my background as a Computer Technical Officer in a Hospital, my work mainly consisted of IT fields such as designing and developing software solutions. The essential knowledge and skills that I need are healthcare domain knowledge and management skills. During my time working in a hospital IT department, a common challenge I encountered was information exchange due to the diverse backgrounds of team members, which can sometimes lead to miscommunication and misunderstandings. Therefore, having knowledge of the fundamentals of healthcare topics and combining them with management skills can overcome these communication challenges as it enables me to comprehend the complexities of healthcare workflows, terminologies, and policies. Moreover, this knowledge and skills can also help me to contribute effective healthcare IT solutions that can support patient care and improve outcomes.
