
I couldn’t agree more that these days we are currently transforming to the data era, where data needs to be digitised. Health care employees who are responsible to fill in the data in the EMR would have a lot more work to do, not to mention delivering services to patients!. For me personally, my current workplace is implementing a new EHR program, which is totally different from what we have used for the past decades. It is still in beta, some of the features are still problematic, and we all have to learn to use this new system. There are disperse voices against this systems, some may find this a burden while others may find it to be more versatile.
To reduce this “burn out”, it would be great if we can do some automation data input to this EMR, for example, we could have blood pressure or voice to text transcription to reduce time of typing in manually. The EMR should have a good UX/UI, and should have at least a doctor or a real world user in a team to provide feedback and address what they need.
